雙賓語構式的認知闡釋

Abstract

Based on the Construction Grammar of Goldberg, this thesis conducts a study on the di-transitive construction. According to the results of the study from the perspective of Construction Grammar, the prototypical sense of the di-transitive construction is volitional giving or transfer, and it builds a hierarchy with its expanded senses via metaphorical and metonymical mechanisms. Findings from a contrastive study on English and Chinese double-object sentences show that the construction and its verbs are involved in different ways of interaction. Specially, there is one construction is English, meaning ‘giving’, whereas the Chinese construction motivates two sub-constructions, meaning ‘giving’ and ‘taking’ respectively. The differences have been found in conceptualizing transfer action between the Chinese and English. In daily life, people often use it in conversations. The DOC may be our most powerful weapon in everyday speech: a device for expressing our needs.

摘  要

   本文試圖以Goldberg倡導的構式語法爲理論框架對雙及物結構予以剖析。依託構式語法已有的研究結果表明,雙及物結構的`典型意義爲“有意的給予或轉移”,隱喻和轉喻是雙及物構式得以擴展與引申的兩種機制。對比英漢語可以發現,由於兩語言的運作機制不同,構式與進入其內的動詞有不同的互動,遂產生下列異同: 英語雙賓構式有給予義,漢語雙賓構式引發兩個傳承構式,其構式義分別爲 ‘給予’ 和 ‘取得’。最後本文從概念化過程分析了英漢雙賓構式有所差異的原因。在我們的日常生活中會常會用到這類句型,可見雙賓句對於我們表達以及交流都非常的重要。
