到外企應聘時面試官可能會要求用英文做一下自我介紹，如何讓自己短短几分鐘的英文演講在不失大雅的前提下還能夠博人眼球呢?那就需要考察個人英文水平綜合素質，還有現場演講發揮的水平了。
各外企的英語面試形式各異，但基本流程是差不多的。
第一輪面試一般由公司人力資源部的人員擔任考官，他們會從你的個人簡歷出發，詢問一些有關個人的問題，比如請你用英語做一個自我介紹。有些公司，也會有一部分英語筆試，如雅芳公司，其筆試中包含一箇中英互譯的項目，主要考查應聘者基本的語言運用能力。
第二輪面試則由部門主管經理出面，這時候，有關業務方面的問題成了面試的重點，所以英語面試也從個人情況轉向了專業領域。比如應聘市場部，則應聘者通常會被要求談一談以往最成功的一個案例，或者自身的業務強項等。
如果前面一路綠燈大亮，那麼，最後一輪面試就要和big boss———公司的總裁面對面了。外企的總裁一般是老外，當然面試就變成全英語的了。總裁詢問的問題一般會和公司的精神、企業文化有關。一位曾任職默沙東製藥的小姐說，她在參加的默沙東最後一輪面試時，默沙東老總看到她是學新聞出身的，便要求她談談對中國新聞媒體的看法，因爲默沙東製藥一直對新聞媒體有其比較獨特的態度。通過這樣比較宏觀的問題，招聘方想要發現的是，應聘者的理念是否與公司的文化精神相契合。
英語從小開始學，可學了10來年，有的人還是“啞巴英語”。到了要找飯碗的緊要關頭，則對一些“成功英語面試培訓”飢不擇食。其實，冰凍三尺，非一日之寒，速成是不可能的，只能在平時積累的基礎上，注意一些細節，運用一些技巧，給自己加上幾個成功的.籌碼。
首先，平時要注意訓練聽力，至少要聽得懂考官的問題，如果考官一個問題出來，你卻聽得雲裏霧裏，然後來兩三個“Pardon”，那現場氣氛定會急轉直下。說話要流利，思維要連貫，層次要清晰，不要夾雜中文，可以用“well”、“however”這樣的過渡詞來給自己停頓和思考，同時，也使得自己的表述顯得口語化一些。
其次，發音要標準。在與外國boss面談的過程中，發音的正確清晰與否是最爲重要的。不要因爲害怕犯語法錯誤而不敢說，大多數時候一些細小的語法錯誤並不影響交際的進行，老外們也不會特別在意。如果要說某個詞卻一時想不起來，那就換種說法，儘量避免卡殼，卡殼會導致冷場。總之不管怎麼樣，都要自信滿滿地，把英文說得讓人聽上去像那麼回事。
■先期準備
主要是個人情況和業務方面。專業英語的準備要充足，有時會被要求用英語解釋一個專業術語或解答一個技術問題。還可去公司的英文網站了解一下企業文化，這在與big boss面談的中會有幫助的。
