問題： Can you sell yourself in two minutes? Go for it. 你能在兩分鐘內自我推薦嗎?大膽試試吧!
面試者： With my qualifications and experience, I feel I am hardworking, responsible and diligent in any project I undertake. Your organization could benefit from my analytical and interpersonal skills. 依我的資格和經驗,我覺得我對所從事的每一個項目都很努力、負責、勤勉。我的分析能力和與人相處的技巧,對貴單位必有價值。
問題： Give me a summary of your current job description. 對你目前的工作,能否做個概括的說明。
面試者： I have been working as a computer programmer for five years. To be specific, I do system analysis, trouble shooting and provide software support. 我幹了五年的電腦程序員。具體地說,我做系統分析,解決問題以及軟件供應方面的支持。

注意事項：
第一、注意語言的準確性
即語法和用詞的準確性、詞彙的豐富性、句式的靈活性、語音語調的準確性、斷句的自然性等。
第二、注意在自我介紹裏對自己進行亮點包裝
找到自己獨特的賣點，不露痕跡地推銷自己。比如，你可以羅列你在大學期間所看的相關領域的經典著作、參加過的業內重要會議及收穫、跟本科導師所做過的項目等。
第三、注意語言的'得體性
即言談是否得體，是否符合語境，實現了語言的交際功能。考官如果問生活化的問題，回答的時候你就選擇口語化的表達;
若問學術性的問題或者比較嚴肅的社會熱點話題，你就要回答得稍微正式一些。
第四、注意內容的連貫性和語言的銜接性
連貫性和銜接性體現了你思維邏輯的縝密性，會讓考官覺得你具有研究生的潛質。要養成圍繞一個統一的話題而分點展開論證的論述習慣。
在考前也可以準備一些轉承起合的連詞，如to begin with , what's more , finally , however , although , to summarize 等。
第五、鎮定、自信，面對變化不要慌張
有的老師提問時喜歡在你對上個問題的回答中搜尋下一個問題的影子，其目的在於考察考生是否具備研究人員應該具備的應變能力。
第六、注意回答的個性化
不要人云亦云，要另闢蹊徑。具有創新精神是一名優秀的研究人員所必備的素質，所以你在回答考官的問題時儘量想些有新意、有創意的答案。練習如何從研究生的角度綜合分析問題，對問題進行整合與深度加工，答出廣度與深度。
另外，如果你感覺自己理解得不是很透徹、很到位，或者你實在想不出什麼有特色的答案，你可以提出你對該問題的質疑或者提出自己對相關話題的擔憂，然後誠懇地跟老師探討，不必擔心會因此頂撞老師，學術上本就應該百家爭鳴，百花齊放，在討論中，導師會從中看出你的獨到性、邏輯性和思維的敏銳性。
第七、注意細節
如果沒有聽懂考官的問題，你不必抓耳撓腮，而一定要淡定--Would you please say that again more slowly ? I didn't catch you . 如果你在進考場之前門是關着的，你要先敲門再進去;給考官遞交材料時要雙手奉上;要將手機調爲靜音模式等。
第八、注意自己的言談舉止
要落落大方、不卑不亢、溫文爾雅;着裝得體，不要太社會化，奇裝異服等，要牢記自己的學生身份。
第九、注意知己知彼百戰百勝
在英語面試前可對考官進行一番調查，瞭解考官的出題風格(喜歡考專業知識、熱點話題還是常考話題)、語言風格(是英音還是美音)、喜好(如喜歡什麼樣的學生--穩重型、活潑型、創意型還是學術型)等。
