畢業論文由以下幾部分組成：
1 Introduction (緒論)
緒論：本部分對論文整體上予以簡單介紹，涉及以下方面：
指出研究目的 (Research aim) ，並把研究目的細化爲2、3個研究問題(research questions)。指出用何種理論框架(theoretical framework)有何研究意義(Significance of the present study)，方法論(methodology當前研究屬於定性還是定量，有何具體方法)，語料收集(data collection，語料由何處，運用何種方法收集到的，爲何用這些語料)，論文的'結構(organization of the dissertation)
2 Literature Review (文獻綜述)
文獻綜述：本部分主要介紹以往的相關研究，要有陳述也有評論，重點指出以前研究存在的不足，或者沒有解決的問題(讓人明白本研究的必要性)。如：以“A Contextual Study of Black English”(“黑人英語的語境論研究”)爲題，本論文文獻綜述要圍繞着國內外有關黑人英語的研究狀況去寫。但是，不要寫成1.國內的研究2.國外的研究，因爲科研不分國內外，要有全球視角。而是根據不同的視角去寫。

3 Theoretical Framework (理論框架)
理論框架：本部分指出本研究所依據的理論基礎，www.downhot.com/fanwen/1530/要對該理論有個概括的介紹，重點放在你要用的理論上，比如：語境或語域等。如：

4 Discussion / Case Study(討論或個案研究)
討論：用上述理論框架對所收集的語料進行討論，解決你所提出的所有研究問題，並歸納有何研究發現。根據具體情況，如果內容較多，可以寫成兩節。可以把“Discussion”寫成“Case Study”(個案分析) 。
