Hello, it is really my pleasure to have the opportunity to introduce myself here. To be honest, it is my first formal job interview so I feel very excited but a little nerverse. My name is py, I come from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My major is Pattern Recognition and Intelligent system. During my graduate study, my research direction is image procession and intelligient transportation system. I’m a person with persistance and perseverance, especially towards my study and work. Once I choose a way, I will try my best to stick it out and never return. This is also my life motto. For example, through my persistant hardwork, my overall GPA is rand top three in the department. Besides, I also have many project experiences which have enhanced my abilities greatly, such as problem solving, cooperation, communication, fast learning and so on.

I’m also an optimistic and easygoing person. For example, I’m the party seceratory of my class. I get along very well with all the classmates.

In my spare time, I have broad interests and I’m always willing to learn new things. I love reading books and it can broad my visions. I love watcing movies because I can see different life experiences. Besides, I usually go to KTV with my friends and classmates thouth I’m not a good singer. But I think it is a good chance to have fun with my friends. I insist to take some jogging every week and it has become one of my good habits.

Combined my major and my interests, I think that I am more suitable to find some thechnology related jobs, such as technology supporting, which I can get a better development in my future development. That’s all. Thanks for your time and attention.

I really enjoy the technical nature of the job because I can put what I have learned during school into practice, and I will get a lot of satisfaction from the position since all these years of persistent efforts have worked out.

( technical support is one of my dream jobs. First, I am willing to do jobs that is relevant to IT technical which I can put what I have learned in school into practice. Second, one of my interests is to communicate with all kinds of people and learn new things. Combined my major background and my interest, I think technical support is my best choice. Besides, I konw the position needs employees qualified with technical skills, excellent communicate skills, quick learning and adaptability. All these are exactly my advantages. So the position could make me give the full play of my potentials.

I am committed to join this company, if I am not selected, first I will support whoever might get selected and maybe he or she is more suitable to the position. But, I do feel that my experience in my graduate study and many of my advantages would make me the best candidate. I may not be the most excellent candidate, but I dare to say I would be the most hardworking and most responsible one.

5 "What is Your Biggest Weakness?" 談談你最大的弱點是什麼?

My biggest weakness is that I have not many work and social experiences. This is mostly because I have been studying in the school. Sometimes, my thoughts are very simple. But I have already realized the problem so I usually take part in some activities, such as volunteer. For example, last year I volunteered in judicial assistance department of Minhang and through the experience I communicated with all kinds of people who needed legal aid. I also chatted with lawyers which has broaden my knowledge and vision greatly. In the future career, I will try my best to enrich my experiences of many aspects.

First, I am a hardworking and deligent person. During the past three years of my graduate school learning, I have achieved excellent academic performance and my GPA is rank top three in my department. And what’s more important is that I have learned the fast learning abilities so I will be adapt to new job and environment as soon as possible. With all these abilities, I am capable and competent to this position. / Both these abilities have prepared me very well for this position.

8 "Why did you choose your major?" 你爲什麼選擇這個專業?

I am interested in image procession and pattern recognition since I was junior in the university. I have a project experience which is to measure the distance between two cars by processing car images. I found it is an interesting field so I choose pattern recognition and intelligent system as my graduate major. I think it will have a broad development prospect and have great influence on our society and dialy life. Although it is not a popular suject and many people may not know it, my major has been applied in the various fields, such as Intelligent transportation, Face recognition, fingerprint identification, Electronic police, Industry detection and so on. It has saved a lots of human resources from boring jobs. So I am very proud to be a student of the major.( There are so many branches of my major, such as computer vision, medical image procession, 3D reconstruction and etc. )

In my future career, I may not engage in Pattern recognition field, but I have learned a lot of useful things from my major. I gained solid specialized knowledges and many programming skills. I think the most important thing is how to learn a new thing quickly.

9 "What are your interests?" 你有哪些興趣愛好呢?

In my spare time, I love to read books by which I could broad my visions and knowledge; I usually take some jogging. Running has become a good habit of mine. I also like to go to KTV with my classmates and friends. It provides a good opportunity to communicate and have fun with them.

10 "What are your short and long term goals?" 你對於短期和長期的目標是什麼?

My short term goals is to find a job that could incorporate both my education and practical work skills to be the best I can be. So I can grow with a company as quick as possible and enhance various of my abilities. So I hope to move on from a student to a professional in one industry. Then if I get an additional opportunity, I would like to take position of management. In a word, I hope to become a professional who is not only know technical but also qualified management skills.

My friend would describe me as a person who is hardworking and serious towards work and study. Besides, they would also say YYT is honest, helpful and easy-going and they are willing to get together with me.

13"What motivates you to succeed?" What’s motivates you? 你爭取成功的動力是什麼?

Persistance and perseverance always motivates me to be successful. Because I always believed that once I choose a way, I should be brave enough to stick it out and never return.

First, I’ve always been motivated by the serious attitude towards my work and study. Once I decided to do something, I would try my best to stick it out and never given up. Seriousness is my life attitude. Second, I've always been motivated by the desire to do a good job at whatever position I'm in. I want to excel and to be successful in my job, both for my own personal satisfaction and for my employer.

14 "What was your greatest challenge and how did you overcome it?" What is your proudest thing?最自豪的事情?你經歷過最大的挑戰是什麼?你如何跨越它的?

The proudest achievements I have gained is that I had passed the graduate entrance exam of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2008. At that time, I gave up the opportunity of being recommended to postgraduate admission to our university, because I choose to enter the entrance exam of Shanghai Jiao Tong University which was full of uncertainty. During the preparing period, I was very hard to study and tried my best. Because I always believed that once I choose a way, I should be brave enough to stick it out and never return. Even in the last period, my review was not very good, I had persistence and perseverance to my own choice instead of giving up. At last, although I didn’t get a high scores in the first exam, I am also successful to pass the interview by my excellent performance. It is a very meaningful experience in my life. I love challenges and uncertainties because I can tap my potential largely during the course

15 How well do you work under pressure?如何處理壓力的?

I know that all jobs involves some sort of pressure. For me, pressure would make me work evern better. As the says going, where there are the pressures, there are the etimes I love pressure and challenges, because they make me concentrate on what I need to do and will give the full play of my potentials. Applicant: I hope this job will give me a chance to take responsibility. In more than ten years' of study as a student, I have never taken any responsibility in any real sense or earned money for a company. I think people can only become mature by taking on responsibility. I hope this work will give me the chance to develop fully.

Applicant: Since I am a recent graduate , Besides,

As a recent graduate, my primary consideration of job hunting is whether the position could provide me learning opportunities, good training mechanism for new employees and work prospects in the long-term. I think all these are more important than salary because they can make me grow from a graduate to a professional in a certain field. And at the beginning, there will be a transition period after I enter the company, so the profits I make for the company will be limited and I don't have specific requirements. But man has to survive. So I hope the salary will be enough to help me to be economically independent from my parents. (What's more, I think if a company is willing to pay a high salary for a post, it also indicates its importance. And only in this situation can I be convinced that I can get more learning opportunities and better prospects.)

19What do you want most from your work?你最希望從工作中得到什麼?

Applicant: I hope to get a kind of learning, to get skills from my work. Though I have studied in school for nearly 16 years, I have only learned knowledge. In the university, I got no chance to see real life and didn't get working skills. So I want to learn some working skills and become a professional in an industry.

I hope this job will give me a chance to take responsibility. In more than ten years' of study as a student, I have never taken any responsibility in any real sense or earned money for a company. I think people can only become mature by taking on responsibility. I hope this work will give me the chance to develop fully.

This is not only a fine opportunity, but your company is one of my dream companie. I knew SAP when I was a student in university. ERP field can apply knowledge about both IT and management. The position I'm applying is close to my career plan. It contains the challenge to keep me on my toes. That's the kind of job I like to anticipate every morning.

20 How would you go about establishing your credibility quickly within the team?如何快速融入團隊

Gaining credibility quickly is important. I believe the best way is to show your colleagues that you respect their experienced and want to learn from them as well as about them. You need to listen, ask the right questions and make sure you understand. If they can see you are trying to be a part of the team, they will help you.

21What specific goals, including those related to your occupation, have you established for your life? 職業中有什麼特定的目標嗎?

I want to be working for an excellent company like yours in a job in which I am managing information. I plan to contribute my leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills. My long-range career goal is to be the best information systems technician I can for the company I work for.

22 Please describe the ideal job for you following graduation.理想中的工作是什麼?

My ideal job is one that incorporates both my education and practical work skills to be the best I can be. Namely combining my education in computer science with my working knowledge of commnication and administrative skills. I want to utilize my analytical expertise to help people meet their goals. This is exactly why I am convinced that I would be a very valuable member of the company.

23 At what point did you choose this career?爲什麼選擇這個職位?

I knew that I wanted to pursue information systems technology from my graduate study. It was then that I realized that my hobby (computers) was taking up most of my time. My favorite courses were IT courses. I also realized that I was doing computer-oriented work-study that I enjoyed so much I would have done it for free.

There's no on-going criticism. I'm open to personal and professional suggestions and criticisms. If someone tells me that I was wrong in some aspects, I am willing to listen to their advice. And I will be thankful to them because they are concerning about my growth.

25 What sort of people do you find it difficult to work with? What irritates you about other people, and how do you deal with it?你比較不喜歡和什麼樣的人相處?

I am an easy going person who seems to get along with everyone very well. If I have to pich a type of person that bothers me , it’s the one who doesn’t have the team-work spirit and isn’t responsible for his or her job. I feel it will have a bad influence on the rest of the team.

"I find I get on with most people so it's not normally a problem. It's rather disappointing when people don't pull their weight I suppose. If this has happened, In that instance I will speak to the person in private, explained that they were letting the team down and asked them to make more efforts.

If not, I will stick to my opinion and allow the colleagues who keep reserved opinions to give more data and communicate with me. In short, my principle is that everything should be based on data and facts. Every colleague has the right to express his opinion. I will try my best to make all people agree on one thing. If I fail, I will make my decision, as a leader.

Interviewer: You are now a team member and if your leader has made a decision but you don't quite agree with this decision and other members don't express any special opinions, what will you do?

If this is a key decision, I will gather related information to support my view and try to persuade my leader.
