所謂並列範疇，是指這兩句話內容可能不一樣，但談到的話題是同一範疇，同一口徑，比如要觀點都是觀點(觀點可能相同，也可能轉折)，要細節都是細節。
比如説：Chinese people love peace. American people love wars. 1980,I joined army.1991,I married my wife。
所謂因果關係，是指前後兩句話存在前因後果，或者前果後因的關係。
所謂解釋説明關係，有兩種形式，一種是用同為從句的形式來解釋前面某一個較為抽象名詞的具體內容，另一種形式就是舉例説明前一句話的觀點。
不管是議論文也好還是説明文也好，分清楚句子之間的關係對於我們做題很有幫助的。
通常情況下，在議論文中的解釋説明關係更為重要(考研中議論文的比例也較大，尤其是夾敍夾議)，通常觀點型的句子(較粗的句子)中使用的名詞比較抽象，而細節的句子中卻常常出現諸如人名，時間，地點，數字等明顯具體的詞，這都是信號。
分清粗細的能力首先有助於我們做例證題，想想答案應該是粗的，還是細的？
